for fun....

You AreApple Red

You're never one to take life too seriously, and because of it, you're a ton of fun.
And although you have a great sense of humor, you are never superficial.
Deep and caring, you do like to get to the core of people - to understand them well.
However, any probing you do is light hearted and fun, sometimes causing people to misjudge you.

You Are Romanticism

You are likely to see the world as it should be, not as it is.
You prefer to celebrate the great things people do... not the horrors they're capable of.
For you, there is nothing more inspiring than a great hero.
You believe that great art reflects the artist's imagination and true ideals.

You Belong in the UK

Blimey!
A little proper, a little saucy.
You're so witty and charming...
No one notices your curry breath

You Belong in Summer

Energetic, creative, and very curious about the world...
You're not going to let anything hold you back, especially a cold day.
Whether you're chilling out at the beach or partying all night, you live for the warm weather.

Back to childhood_2

This song also reminds me of childhood....( just heard it on radio few minutes ago, so wanted to keep this song somewhere, wherer I can have access easily).
Being little and watching cartoon "LION KING" (broadcasted on sunny saturday morning as I remember... hmmm, great memories), this song was played on background....
I could say, I`m person, who likes music ( unfortunately do not play anything, although have tried guitar and piano... I can sing (might scare some people with doing that tho :P), but don`t on aim for the career in singing) ... I like having music on background, whatever I do... sleep, eat, study, read, talk, walk... ohh, and I found out what helps me to fall asleep easily_ that`s Classical music! But it might be dangerous to have it on while I`m doing important stuff, I could fall asleep momentarely...(in fact, not so bad with me)

......issue

Just had too many conversations lately about this subject, so decided to post about it here...so the subject- MARRIAGE!!!

being around a lot of youth (with my youth group and also at UNI) I hear quite many different opinions about this...

People are searching for LOVE (outworn phrase)...they don`t know where it could be found...girls are giving themselves cheaply to any stranger who says magical phrase: "I LOVE YOU". Guys just having sex with as many girls as they can...

One more thing what shokes me- disrespectfulness towards parents... how can someone dream about own family, not being able to cope with present one... what does it take? just little bit more of respect... my parents are not perfect, not at all, have seen ups and downs (in fact, now they are getting divorced after being married for 25 years), anyway, that`s different story. But what is point for this- I learnt so many things from them, they thought me many things (doing right, and doing bad and totally wrong things or having bad habits)... I don`t say it`s easy to love being hurt (to LOVE is a decision, not just feeling)... I just don`t think it`s the right thing to criticize our parents for doing wrong (we are human, that`s why we do mistakes)... it`s easy to judge parents saying, I would have done that instead of that... but how easy is to have real children and to deal with them, imbueing right moral standarts and values? Leo Aikman said: "You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him"- and I pretty much agree with it.

there is this good quote what I use a lot- right thing in wrong time is wrong thing, but right thing in right time is PERFECT thing! Who wants to settle for something less than perfect... Imagen..if someone says- i`ll give You PERFECT thing in a while, but there is something not as good, but You can take it now... what would You choose?
I am up for the PERFECT ( PUREfect ) one...the same is with God`s given gift called MARRIAGE...

When question is asked- "What would You like to have in your spouse?" Majority answers with hair colour, height, eye colour or occupation etc... hearing this- I want to ask-"Do you think about being together in future?"
because years will come to pass.... blonde hairs will go grey, nice smile will pale (might end up having no teeth), occupation might be changed to unemployment...and what to do if parts of the body is lost ( cancer, amputation etc...) Would this person still be as attractive as it were before?

Many girls are scaling down their standarts...in order to get a guy ( it goes quite often for the case when christian girls/boys date with unbeliever)...I think that Bible clearly states that :"There is nothing common for the light with darkness"...and still girls/boys fall in this trap.

While writing about this, I keep in mind that I am nobody here to judge, saying this was wrong, how could You do that?... I am not doing that, because I know that there is no guarantee for my life- except in GOD... I might fall in any of these traps at any time...it`s just His grace what keeps me every day, without God that would be impossible!

Probably I am saying all of these things just because I don`t see BIG WHOLE picture of MARRIAGE...
So I am not running for anything...

I just like sharing about this with young people...
  • want them to see that they are more than complete without having boyfriend/girlfriend
  • want them to see fulfillment and Love in Christ
  • want them to wait for the PUREfect time....
  • want them to find identity in Christ and live purposeful life...when they would be the light( by having high moral standarts) of the World to shine in this dark generation...

There is TRUE LOVE WAITS.... and here is latvian link Ista Milestiba Gaida ...I am totally for them!!! God desires our lifes to be pure...

Sorry for taking so long, I wrote so much because it`s crucial nowadays, and I am keen about seeing HAPPILY MARRIED COUPLES living fruitful life In Christ, and witnessing neighbouring with their marriages...

hmmm, will stop for now!

Action vs.Words

WHY people try to impress others with words?
in the same time they act differently?
What is point for that?

People characther and actions matters much more than just bla, bla, bla things....

there is one good quote:
Your Actions Speak Louder Than Your Words...

Is it worth?

Yeah this question is in my mind for a while...
No, I don`t regret anything, just general thoughts about it...
EPISTEMOLOGY:
  1. it`s pretty hard to handle 2 working places + studies!!! ( HARD, but not IMPOSSIBLE)
  2. Time is running away...and we keep doing only urgent things... but not those which are important...(so better save some time for GOD, family and friends)
  3. Money is a good thing, but IT`S not the key for happiness and luck....MONEY SHOULD NOT STOP YOU AT ANY STAGE or CIRCUMSTANCES!!! more to that- MONEY DOES NOT DEFINE WHO YOU ARE!!!.... don`t stick to your money, use it wisely (!!!- "shopping" is not included here) and set up priorities ( Matthew22:21 "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's.")
  4. Be FAITHFUL in little things [ do all You can, as good as You can]...and see HOW TREMENDOUSLY GREAT AND CARING IS OUR GOD, who can satisfy our needs in right time and right place!!!
  5. THERE IS SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST THAT....don`t be enslaved by your daily routine, find refreshment for your LIFE in right place ...He is LIVING BREAD!!! -John 6:51 "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."-

BRIDE SHOWER

This article is not for guys really:

first time I got opportunity to took part at a christian BRIDE SHOWER ( not mine YET).....

hmm, at the end I was quite impressed (positively) by it`s content!!!

Grossy, smutty, ambivalent etc- that`s the things what I could relate talking about bride showers ...so didn`t expect anything special this time either. Didn`t see any real purpose for these things as I am christian and have other standarts and values!!! I am definately not up to flirt with a local guy in order to get some money (for wedding: as it`s stated in BRIDE SHOWER rules) or ask for a signature on my left shoulder ( or any other place on my body)....

For those who don`t have any idea about BRIDE SHOWER`s in LATVIA, here it is:

  • the title of BRIDE SHOWER is literally translated as "Vecmeitu ballite" (SPINSTER PARTY)...Spinster is a woman who has never been married, though it is usually applied only to women who are regarded as beyond the normal age for marriage. ThE NORMAL age in Latvia is 25!!!
  • Diverting features mostly contains flirting, scampish jokes etc...don`t wanna go on as the list is quite long.
  • Marriage is called as SLAVERY instead of something FUN and ENJOYABLE... [what a RUBBISH] Girl should talk about her previous boyfriends [ discussing how good or bad they were in various spheres], do obscene stuff with someone...

that all is so TRIVIAL...

So considering all + and - about BRIDE SHOWERS.... I VOTE FOR BRIDE SHOWERS!!! (but the content of it is so much more important).. one more good thing- You get gifts :) [but that is not as significant as being with close friends, and to be encouraged to take this GREAT STEP]!

ZOO news

Ohhh, and again fun weekend....

So much true....

[ No soul can be really at rest until it has given up all dependence on everything else and has been forced to depend on the Lord alone. As long as our expectation is from other things, nothing but disappointment awaits us. Feelings may change, and will change with our changing circumstances; doctrines and dogmas may be upset; Christian work may come to naught; prayers may seem to lose their fervency; promises may seem to fail; everything that we have believed in or depended upon may seem to be swept away, and only God is left, just God, the bare God, if I may be allowed the expression; simply and only God ]
-Hannah Whitall Smith-

OHhhh, this is so much true....we base our lives on different things- job, relationships, family, carrer, ministry, -and all of them are great stuff! If only we don`t get too focussed on them...I have heard people loosing their homes, families... and still keep up loving LORD with all of their hearts.
Loosing work was a tremendous lesson of having wrong focus...but great opportunity to lean upon GOD!

GOT A CHARACTER???

This cat definately got a character?
When i tried to get closer to take a better shot, body language he expressed was saying :"DON`t COME CLOSER!!! I WILL BITE..."

Don`t we sometimes as humans do the same, seeing some stranger, we put around borders and fences in order to protect ourselves... but we never know what is behind each one of them...

good memories....

As far as i can remember there is one song which i like a lot. And today came across hearing it, was reminded of my childhood (well it was 10 years ago anyway)....
Views of nature are fabulous... being little couldn`t figure out where they got so many stones to make so many stone figures...
And listen to the words....

Do You like keeping quite?

Few things I thought about getting up this morning (and after having a dream).
As everyone knows- there is HEAVEN and HELL, there are no doubts...if You are not sure...click here

I might say it too straight, but if we know that there is real HEAVEN and HELL, we love God with all of our heart... what makes us unwilling to talk about these things with people around us?
We find various excuses about being too busy, or we might be sharing good news- but only with our good works (I am pretty sure, that it was not what St. Francis meant by writing his the most popular quote about sharing good news)!

I have realized, not just understood with my mind...there is no fear in real love (so are we truly loving GOD?)
To retrace past events and first christians, trials they went through- nowadays don`t compare.... what can we loose? our lives? Our families? Our homes?

What would be the most awful thing which happens- we could loose

good record in our schools, working places...they might think of us as boring christian freaks! But who cares? (by the way CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A BORING THING AT ALL). I don`t think that good record would matter more than saved family members, relatives and friends!

And we don`t need to run around saying- "You are a sinner, but God loves You"!!! (probably there are times for these words, but not always).. but there are simple and fun things to do being not weird (check here)... and plus to that be able to open mouth sharing about BEST EXPERIENCE what could ever happen to someone- to meet with real GOD...

AND THAT`S SO MUCH WORTH IT!!!!!

SINGULARITY

DO YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE UNIQUE? ...
why I think so? because it`s easier (and more apprehensible) to believe in GOD, rather than think that I am a RESULT OF DARWIN`S THEORY...

- psalm 139: 13-16 says-
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

I AM FED UP WITH PEOPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEIR LOOKS, SHAPES ETC...
It`s not that I think that our look doesn`t matter... and we should walk around with dirty hair, overweight and being stinky, of course NO!!!

What I remember from myself in the past- I used to pay a lot of attention at people`s look... I used to have an aversion towards gingers ( people with red hair)...and could not keep up conversation with someone who`s teeth were not as white as mine... I know, that`s called SHALLOW! ( thank God, that years comes with wisdom and understanding, not just grey hair)
That was not a real hate, just dislike...

Don`t we let mirror, parents, teachers, friends define who we are...
It`s terrible to see young girls searching for an identity and value in their boyfriends...and guys finding their value in their money, cars etc...worst is that they end up being with destroyed lifes, with emptiness in their hearts and with hate...

If thinking about peer pressure... Haven`t really experienced it being a teen, but have noticed that a lot nowadays...pressure to date (with several people), sleep around, kiss, drink, smoke, cheat at school, disobey parents, play hookey ... I am pretty sure it`s tough to keep high standarts nowadays, but that is POSSIBLE (not by our strength really).. but to be able to do that it`s crucial to understand that our identity is in CHRIST... and the rest doesn`t really matters!!!!

SO YEAH, HE IS THE ONE WHO DEFINES US........

we were meant to live for so much more....

8 of 20

How Brit am I?

Took a short test of "how brit am I?" on here
Dunno if it`s good that I got only 8 of 20 as a result about my britishness....

MY RESULT SAYS:
That 400 metre taxi ride is going to take you all round town...
Sounds great, doesn`t that??? ohhh, whatever... I am fine with taxi ride.... although I would like to get out of taxi also, to go for the sightseeing. Weird, if it takes me to know all of those weird phrases to be a BRIT... how can I know what is hard shoulder; how can I identify true gentlemen; or know what is wanker???

I am curious what would be my result, if i would be in LONDON before.. would it be 15? ( as the result asks whether I have been there before)! Can say with confidence- NO!

PS. Hope I didn`t post anything rude on here, not knowing meaning of those odd words (and if I did, sorry for that, didn`t intend to do so)

flying.......FLY HIGH

Helicopter.. while I was in Lithuania.. I bought a helicopter!!! ( kidding)

Well, the reason why I wanted to post this photo on here, was to remind myself about flying....to be honest, i am afraid of height...so it takes from me a lot of courage to stand on my balcony (not so bad, in fact) !!! But anyway, despite the fear- i would like to jump with a parachute one day... I`m hoping that while I fall down- I could touch clouds (dare to dream)...or maybe fall on some fluffy cloud, and stay there for a while!

ANYONE UP TO JUMPING WITH A PARACHUTE? :p

LITHUANIA

Ohh, sometimes I like being dissapointed in my plannings .....when it happen to go by contraries!!! When I was about to go to Lithuania, I was not really expecting such a great trip as I got!!! And I like this feeling... it reminds me that God has so much more for us, than we can think or plan or imagen.....:

"However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" - 1.Cor. 2:9
